  • On 22–27 August, #renault will be transporting the 10th #angoulemefrenchlanguagefilmfestival, to be chaired by the American actor, producer and director John Malkovich.
  • Film industry professionals will have 32 vehicles available to them: #renault Talisman, Trafic Passenger, and Espace.
  • Renault was there at the birth of #cinema in 1898, and continues to be the ambassador of the French language across 57 countries, including Côte d'Ivoire.

Renault is backing the #angoulemefrenchlanguagefilmfestival, created in 2008 by Dominique Besnehard, with the loan of 32 vehicles. With its "Summer Festivals" stamp from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, it's expected to gather an audience of over 30,000 to mingle with the actors, distributors, producers and backers.

Highlights for the 2017 festival will include the ten films from Côte d'Ivoire entered in the competition, and Ivorian First Lady Mrs. Dominique Ouattara is to attend. Chairman John Malkovich, with a panel including journalist Claire Chazal and actress Laura Smet, will award seven Valois prizes to the winning entries.

"Just like Côte d'Ivoire is adding warmth to this historical #event, we chose a top-grade fleet including 15 #renault Talisman saloons. This #event reminds us of the importance of the French language in today's #cinema, and we're proud to support it for the eighth year in a row," enthused Renault-Nissan Alliance Public Relations Director Claude Hugot.

Renault also partners the Festivals at Deauville, Cannes, Lyon Lumière, Alpe d’Huez and the César awards ceremony.
