Italamp participates in Milan #design Week presenting an exceptional project: "LA", the first luminous object designed by designer and creator #camillabellini.
"LA" is a lamp where light and sound become one: in fact, its name recalls the note LA (A), which the lamp reproduces when it is turned on, a sound traditionally interpreted as a vibration in harmony with man, whose listening causes a sense of tranquility and relaxation.
THE PROTAGONIST
The designer started from the concept of the bud and the desire to create a light object that combines functionality and senses. "LA" symbolizes a rebirth, which starts from the heart of Italamp - L and A are in fact also the central letters of the company's name - and comes to involve touch, sight and hearing. In fact, the lamp, when turned on, reproduces the landmark note for tuning musical instruments, giving an ideal tone for a new beginning, at every moment of the day.
"LA" comes to life in a light gold metal cage inside of which is a white glass bud made with the delicate craft technique of "cage blowing." An ancient Murano workmanship of lanterns, where the glass is blown directly inside the structure: once the shape is taken, thanks to the constriction of the cage, the glass undergoes a particularly prolonged cooling process to make sure that the material does not lose its strength. The glass tries to overcome the constriction of the metal, spilling out spontaneously and creating a harmonious series of natural curves, until it is completely cooled. A combination between two materials with a stunning result.
"LA" is proposed in a table version (with dimensions L 22 - H 30 - D 19) , cordless with battery and ignition through a touch sensor and in a version with larger dimensions (L 32 - H 42 - D 27), with a cable, usable both as table and floor lamp.
